Can I cancel after I’ve paid?

Yes, you can cancel a booking after you’ve paid, however you need to email the customer service team at service@madpaws.com.au so they can process this for you.  

When you cancel, the pet sitter’s chosen cancellation policy will apply. The policies are as follows: 

  • Flexible – a full refund up until 12pm, one day before the booking;
  • Moderate – a full refund up until 12pm, 7 days before the booking;
  • Strict – a full refund up until 12pm, 14 days before the booking.

For cancellations of a booking by you (the pet owner) that does not satisfy the timeframe specified in the sitter’s cancellation policy, the owner is entitled to a 50% refund.

What about the booking fee?

Any booking fee paid is non-refundable, except where the relevant booking is cancelled by the pet sitter – in that case, you’re entitled to a full refund of any Pet Service Fee and any Booking Fee with respect to that booking.
