Hello. I am a nature lover and pet lover who has never been without pets in my life.
From my first little dog called 'Puggie' and my cat 'Butter' to the dog I now share-care for called 'Chiko', I have been blessed with my love for animals and the endless love they return.
Through 2016 I was a house sitter in four homes in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Here I cared for a sweet cat called Molly and two little dogs called B and Phoenix.
I LOVE walking dogs so I am very happy to provide this care for your pooch.
After caring for Molly I am now well versed in the needs of long-haired cats and dogs. They need daily brushing and I am happy to comply. They are so smoochy!
I have firsthand experience in homemade, 'from scratch' meal preparations for animals if you require this for your sensitive pet.
I am happy to administer oral and topical medication that you leave instructions for.
Also, I am VERY FAMILIAR with social anxiety in pets. I can be a calming and secure presence for you pet through good rhythm and routine and anticipating and avoiding their stress triggers.
Cats tend to find my presence calming as I bring my full soul and attention to their company.
Outside of pet-sitting I am studying Steiner teacher training full time and enjoy hiking, cooking, dance, yoga and Qi Gong.
In the cooler months I am happy to take your dog on weekend adventure hikes through State Forest if their fitness allows. On weekends I often hang out with my share-care dog Chiko.
He loves hiking. Your pooch is welcome to join in the fun of big walks!
I also am an experienced gardener and will take excellent care of your plants whilst you are away.
My minimum stay as a house sitter and pet carer is four weeks.
My maximum stay is three months.
I am a non-smoker and will not house sit for people that smoke in their home.
I am excited to meet you and your pets so we can discuss their care needs.
If you are looking for someone who you can trust and will love your pet with pats, walks, brushing and good conversation whilst you can't be there , please get in contact. :-)
With kind wishes for you
From Lydia
