Hello! I am originally American and moved here last June. I have loved animals -- all of them -- since I was a baby! My mom can tell you so many (sometimes embarrassing) stories about how I was just drawn to them. I even went to pre-school on a farm! Don't ask me if I'm a cat vs. dog lover because I cannot decide, they're too different and both species are so special!!! I grew up with cats, but I currently have a dog named Rigley. I must say the Australian government makes it nearly impossible to bring your loved pet with you when you migrate to this country, but I jumped through all the hoops (and paid up the hefty sum) to make sure Riggles came with me. When I adopted him, it was forever. <3
So here we both are, and we're ready to meet new friends in our lovely neighbourhood St. Lucia! I try to walk Rigley three times a day, with a minimum of two ...otherwise he tends to get pudgy. :D I think all dogs are healthier & happier when they have more active time outdoors. If your busy work schedule doesn't leave you enough time to walk your dog(s), let me help! We can set up an ideal exercise regimen for them and I'll work them up to it.
I co-habitate with my sister now who unfortunately is allergic to cats. I miss cats in my life! If you need a catsitter who appreciates the uniqueness of each and every cat, look no further! Prior to Australia, I lived in Qatar where I participated in TNR efforts, rescued/fostered/adopted out countless strays, and managed a "feral" cat colony. I put "feral" in quotation marks because even the biggest tomcat would want to be pet and scratched and rubbed after a few weeks of being fed and winning over their trust. I am more than happy to check in on your kitties, renew their food & water, clean their litter trays, and spend some time playing with, grooming, and petting them!
Unfortunately I cannot accept boarding at my home at this time as I live in an apartment complex that has a general 'no pets' policy. I had to obtain special permission from the Body Corporate for my non-shedding, mostly silent, lap-size dog to be allowed in the building. ;-) I am happy to homesit if your pet tends to get lonely in an empty house while you're away.
I am genuine, trustworthy, reliable, and communicative. If you entrust me with your furry loved ones you can be sure they will be well cared for and I will provide daily updates of our shenanigans. I am also flexible, so if you have any special requests please let me know.
Thanks for reading my profile, and I hope to meet you and your furry friends soon!
(P.S. I am learning Auslan and would love to serve anyone in the Deaf Community as well.)
