Gus (our Kelpie) and I hit the trails on Mt Ainslie every morning to get the day started. If your dog is also playful and likes a run, they are welcome for a mountain holiday with an excitable friend.
We have over 20 years experience with dogs and have owned Australian sheep and cattle dogs, malamutes and German shepherd X. We live close to the mountain and have a large block enclosed by 1.6 - 1.8 meter high fences. There is plenty of yard space and dogs can sleep inside. A spare large kennel is also available for outdoor use if required.
We think it's important for you and your dog to meet with Gus for a play before deciding on a stay, and to check out the lodgings. We also want to hear about what is important for your dog, including their routine, diet and other quirks.
I have a trail running harness that has a secure clip for a second dog. We can walk/run for a short time (usually 45 minutes) or a long time (1 hour +), depending on what your dog may like. Some days we go twice :) ...
