Hello, I'm Dhivya, a 22-year-old student at Monash University from India. For almost 20 out of those 22 years, I've shared my life with a dog. My journey with dogs began when my parents adopted a puppy while my mother was pregnant with me. My first canine companion, Faebi, was a mix of a street dog and a German Shepherd, and she remained by my side for 18 years, essentially growing up alongside me.
From the age of 15, my favorite part of the day was taking Faebi for walks. With both my parents working, Faebi was my constant companion at home, accompanying me through studying, watching TV, and even sleeping. Her passing at the age of 18 was a profound loss for me; she wasn't just a pet but a cherished member of our family.
Adjusting to life without a dog was challenging, so I decided to adopt another puppy from our neighbors, a Pomeranian and Labrador mix, whom we also named Faebi in honor of our first beloved pet. Caring for Faebi II became a significant part of my life; I found joy in grooming her, especially since she adored water and baths.
However, since moving to Melbourne as a student, I haven't been able to afford a new pet. Yet, the absence of a furry friend leaves a noticeable void in my life. To fill this gap and earn some extra income, I'm offering my services as a dog sitter. I currently reside with my brother in Berwick, in a spacious four-bedroom house, and my sister lives in Clayton, in a cozy three-bedroom townhouse. I'm available to dog sit at either location, and my rate starts at a minimum of $50 per sitting....
