I’m a caring animal lover who will provide excellent care for your pets. I’m experienced with cats, dogs, horses, goats, chickens, ducks and other birds, native fauna (owls / bobtail lizards) … and not scared of non-venomous reptiles.
Whilst I don’t have formal qualifications in animal care, I have demonstrated competence in a variety of care activities to standards acceptable to vets / vet nurses. I understand the need to use meds as prescribed and am comfortable with sub-cutaneous / intra-muscular injections. I do not give intravenous injections. I have been entrusted by “my” vets to have and administer the correct dosage of “controlled” drugs when prescribed for my animals (such as chemo / pain meds / meds to arrest seizures in dogs and pain meds for horses).
I have experience in pet and home sitting in Scotland and Australia and will update my profile to include references and testimonials from my clients.
If I’m pet hosting, it is essential that we have a prior meet & greet and supervised introduction of animals at least ONE WEEK prior to the dates of your booking. Your pet must be sociable around other dogs and cats. Our dogs are very friendly and our 3 cats are very relaxed and trusting around dogs. They do not need to be defensive with our four dogs, so if your pet is not cat friendly, we may not be the right host for you. We want everyone to be safe 💗.
I will not host new pets for “last minute” bookings. If we haven’t already had a satisfactory “meet and greet”, please don’t ask me to take your pets at short notice.
** MadPaws has introduced a new “feature” … namely a “Seaonal Surcharge”. Please note, I will NOT be adding any surcharges to bookings by my clients, and if a surcharge gets added by mistake while you are setting dates, let me know and I will have it removed.**...
