About Yvonne

Hi! I am Yvonne, a 23 year old Dutch girl. I am a social, enthusiastic and active person, and am very empathetic and caring. I grew up on a farm and therefore grew up with a great love for all kinds of animals! I am missing my pets (mostly my energetic, smart but stubborn dog) at home while here in Melbourne, which is why I started with madpaws - to take care of somebody elses little friends instead.

I have experience with dog and cat sitting, and because I grew up on a farm I naturally have a feeling for handling animals as I grew up with them. I have experience with small dogs as well as large dogs. Ive handled special care dogs (abused dogs, sick dogs), and because of my personal fitness and weightlifting I am strong enough to handle bigger dogs. I love to go for long walks, so also the more energetic dogs that need a lot of play or longer walks are just a bonus for me.

Ive had experience with cat sitting, which were mostly british long hair cats that needed grooming. Ive not had a problem with a cat not liking me before, as I often feel if a pet needs space or attention very well and therefore not often overstep boundaries. I feel like this is an important part for some cats. I am always in for cuddles though :)

Im the most passionate about rabbits, and have had them myself for half my life. I know really well how to handle them, even the ones with an attitude :)

I live in a shared home with a small garden with enough space for a small dog to run around. I live across from a park where dogs are allowed to run around, and am close to some other parks that offer great play spots. I want to do pet sitting part time, but have no other obligations and therefore am very flexible with my agenda.

I am in for house sitting during days and overnight, and because I am a plant mom myself I offer care for your plants too! :)
