I am an experienced dog trainer and walker. I have just moved from NZ where I had an established pack walking and training business and would regularly handle up to 8 dogs at a time and teach them leash manners, socialization, recall, etc. My training style is force-free and positive reinforcement-based. I love to focus on working not only the body but also the mind by using fun enrichment games to keep your pet entertained. I am experienced with all breeds, sizes, ages, health concerns, etc. I love going to beaches, forests, and parks for my walks as I am very adventurous. I will make sure your pet doesn't get too hot and the walk location/time is suitable for this.
I have a qualification in zookeeping where I learned about the care and welfare of all kinds of animals from my 1 year practical work at the zoo in Auckland. I also volunteered with the primates team as a keeper assistant where I learned a lot of cool enrichment games and training techniques! I have experience working with dogs post-surgery and with all kinds of disabilities as part of my canine behavior assistant role at an in-home canine nursing care facility. I used to work in fish maintenance and am experienced in maintaining fish tanks and caring for reptiles. I volunteered at a cat sanctuary for over a year with over 100 cat residents and loved the contrast between working with dogs and cats. I did a lot of kitty litter maintenance and grooming/giving them all the attention they need!
I am patient, loving, and compassionate when working with animals. I love to learn each animal's quirks and personalities! I take my time to build a strong bond with each animal and earn their trust at their own pace. I am very friendly and easy to get along with. I am always handy and happy to send updates and photos of your pet! I am clean, reliable, responsible, personable, and very work-driven.
Feel free to ask for any references, I am excited to hear from you!...
