I have always been fascinated with animals and have a deep connection with our furry friends. Always had pets until my dog of 17 years left us two years ago. We are not ready for another dog/cat and my husband and I have a lot of love and companionship to give, and would be happy to include your pets in our activities. I am an illustrator and work largely from home, so your pet will be very well-taken care of. I’m also very happy to take more than a walk a day, depending on your pet’s condition/preferences.
Fresh water, food and water bowls will always be provided. Please bring your pet’s favourite toy, blankets, rugs, food and treats (if any) so they can feel right at home. I have experience taking care of small and medium-sized to large dogs.
As two pluses, I’ve also been supervised by a positive reinforcement dog trainer and invested on a weekly basis to train my dog. I have found it compassionate and effective. I’m happy to offer basic training at no additional charges to your dog during his/her stay. It’s often a fun activity time of communication between human and dog. Where new tricks have been 'captured' or learnt, I will put them down in a jpg file and also keep vidéo playlist of your pet’s training so you could revisit anytime so you could reinforce it or practise it and have fun with your pet at home too!
Having an interest in relaxation therapies and anatomy, I’m also a certified reflexologist and massage therapist, and can feel out where your dog may be aching. Mia, our friend’s 15 year old staffy/kelpie absolutely loves it when I give her a little hip massage, and my little silky terrier used to have tension in her neck as well as hip, and sinks into relaxation when I give her a massage. Bobby, the maltipoo is a sprightly energetic puppy and finds a massage so calming that he settles down very quickly when I have him over. This is completely complimentary, every animal deserves some body therapy too!
Thank you, looking forward to hanging out with your pet!
