We are a happy and fun family who would like to open our home to your pet, or take care of he/she in your home. Last year we lost our 5th member, our dog, after 16 years, and we'd like to fill the big space she's left with visiting bundles of fur.
As a stay-at-home mum with 2 girls in school (9 and 11 years of age), also a part-time student (biomedical science), I can provide your furry friend with around-the-clock company and attention, plenty of walks, and an attentive loving family environment in the evenings when everyone is home.
Our home is surrounded by green parks. There is an off-leash dog park along one of our walkways. On weekends, we often drive out to Nudgee Beach or Shorncliffe, which was always a hit with our dog, so if your fur baby is with us for the weekend, and would enjoy this, its a likely outing.
I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, Guinea pigs, even chickens, and fish (including marine fish) as pets. We nursed a high needs (sick) dog during the last 18 months, so we understand the importance of medication and dietary diligence. As a volunteer, I hold an active Blue Card (for working with children), and Yellow Card (working with elderly and disabled). These both require police and security checks. Your little friend - furry, feathered, or scaled - will be very safe with us.
Update: During 2023 we hosted many little holiday-makers, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We'd love to have your family member stay with us, or care for them at your home.
Please note that for house-sitting, it is location-specific. I need to remain in the vicinity of inner City suburbs radius of ~8km), and Northside out to Chermside, for local commitment purposes. To care for your furry friend at our home however, he/she can come from anywhere ☺️...
