I was born an animal enthusiast with unconditional love for creatures all shapes and sizes.
In my earlier years, I volunteered to walk my neighbour’s family dog, which eventually turned into pet sitting for not only their dog, but others along our street. I have also developed a strong passion for fish keeping and marine life from a very young age and have owned a wide range of aquariums and fish species.
Around this time, I became a volunteer at RSPCA (Burwood) within a clinic-based setting. This experience gave me the opportunity to work closely amongst rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, cats and dogs. Through this work I’ve had exposure to a wide range of procedures such as desexing (spay/neuter), ringworm/flea treatment, dental extractions, and benign skin growths.
I currently live in my own home with an enclosed fence and grass backyard. My house backs onto a huge sporting ground (and short distance to dog park) with plenty of room for dogs to stretch their legs and make new friends. Walking paths are also within a short distance allowing easy and quick access for a long/short stroll.
The occupants of my home include myself, my boyfriend (Tyler) and our big aquarium of tropical fish. Due to a few overseas holidays we have booked, we haven’t felt this year is suitable to add a new furry member to our family (hopefully in 2024!). My work is based 3 days from home (Monday, Tuesday and Friday), which allows be to at home on most days to care for the animals and keep them engaged.
