Hello! My name is Tahlia and I am an experienced veterinary nurse working currently as an exotics nurse, with experience working with cats and dogs prior to. Rest assured your pet will be in great hands with someone who truly gets the special care needs exotics require, and someone who understands the extra support a special needs/elderly pet may need.

I am familiar with a range of medical conditions and the specific needs of exotic species. I have my own rabbits, guinea pigs and a cat! Some of my rabbits and guinea pigs are special needs, so I am no stranger to these types of pets. Please let me know if you would like to be taught how to give medications or need regular medication administration, as I can offer this service for you too!

I am experienced and trained in giving all types of medications, am Recover certified (animal CPR), and have Fear Free training. I have experience working with cats in a shelter environment, so I understand the anxious cat! I work to make all experiences for your pet as stress free as possible.

My areas of interest are looking after cats and exotics, but rest assured, if you have a pup I will gladly look after them with the same expert care!

Please note I work as a veterinary nurse on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays excluding public holidays. I do not work from home. I can still do house visits and pet sitting on the days I work, but please keep this in mind before booking if you are after someone who works from home for your little one. As I have my own animals as well I need to tend to between services, my services are best suited to pets that do not require constant care (constant care requiring 24/7 monitoring).

*grooming is limited to nail clipping. If anything else is required (bath, basic trim, hygiene/bum clips for rabbit/guinea pig) the price will be subject to change. Price is for nail trim ONLY. I am not a professional groomer and cannot provide breed specific clips or full body clips.

*while I will accept less than 24hrs notice bookings, it is within my right to decline should I be unavailable and this is a risk you will run into should you book last minute. Again, I work 4 days a week and may not be able to accomodate last minute requests, but will do so when it is possible. With more notice, you have a better chance of me being able to organise my schedule to meet your needs!

*boarding at my home only available for exotics. Please send me a message requesting sitting and specify you are requesting boarding for your pet so I can open up dates required and edit the booking for you :)
