About Kirsty and Peter

Peter and I both have a strong affinity for cats.

We have extensive experience in feline care from our many years of being cat parents and over a decade of foster caring work. Our last kitty passed away in July 2023. Our grief has been soothed by caring for many lovely cats and kittens via the MadPaws website. Rest assured we will treasure your furbabies as our own. We would be delighted to send you send daily updates including photos and videos for complete peace of mind.

I work part time at the University of Melbourne and Peter has his own tiling business. We've dealt with all manner of special needs (including blind and deaf cats) so nothing phases us in terms of giving medications or other special care your cat might need whether it's physical or emotional or both.

We both love cosy evenings watching TV and occasionally going to a restaurant to enjoy good food and wine, or cooking same at home. My hobbies include Egyptian bellydance, cycling, pilates, music, travel (or dreaming about it), and gardening.

Pet Visits: 30 minutes of playtime, feeding, water bowl change, litter changing, pats and cuddles (if kitty chooses), taking photos and/or videos to send to you.

Pet hosting: Your kitty will be entertained with wand toys, kicker toys, laser pointer, catnip, cat grass, cat TV (both real and virtual). Plenty of cuddles (on their terms) and laps whilst we watch TV. Also: a heated bed, places to be up high, and a bathroom with heated marble floor (all our past guests have adored the bathroom). Daily photos and/or videos sent to you. (If you'd like a video call that can be arranged too). :)

Pet Daycare: Same as for hosting. ...
