About Michael and Tanya

Experienced and caring non-smoking pet sitters you can rely on. We both have police checks which can be sighted at the meet and greet.

Hi, we are Michael and Tanya, a semi-retired mature couple from Australia travelling the world. We have been house-sitting since September 2023. From time to time we return to Ballina to catch up with family and friends. We enjoy travel (especially cruising), eating out, animal encounters, craft beer, and attending events. Life is about balance, so we also love a day or two at home to recharge.

We have been married for 30 years with two adult children who live independently. Over the years our house has been home to various pets, including a Jack Russell-Fox Terrier Cross, a Devon Rex cat, a dwarf rabbit, rats, guinea pigs, budgies, and goldfish. Our dog Toby and our cat Dexter were both rescues.

We are excited about the opportunity to care for your home and pets while you are away. We will treat your home and your precious belongings with the utmost respect. We have had many house sitters at our place over the years so understand that it is a huge leap of faith to trust a stranger. We both have National Police Checks.

When it comes to pet care, our approach is to fit into the pet's routine to ensure they have as little stress as possible, we can provide daily walks, medication, grooming, and any other care your pet requires.

We are not skilled gardeners but will be more than happy to water plants and do basic yard maintenance.
