About Alex

Hello there! My name is Alex - an all around animal lover and Canadian living in Brisbane. I grew up on a farm where we cared for goats, sheep, horses and the occasional donkey. My family also rescued raccoons, and I had a pet rabbit, hamster, cats and dogs. When I was younger, I completed a 6 month internship at a Veterinary Hospital and decided the path of being a Veterinarian wasn't for me (I love taking care of animals but didn't love other aspects of the job). In more recent years, my partner and I used to house sit full-time taking care of pets around Adelaide which included dogs, cats, rats, and even an axoloyl! I have also volunteered to walk dogs in shelters, and I currently take care of my own cat Louis (pictured above). He was rescued 2 years ago.

Now, I am now a Geologist who works from home most of the time and has quite a few days off where I would love to assist in taking care of your pets. My partner is in the army so he is often away. Our cat is very friendly but can also be segregated from your pets if required, as we have the space to do so. We will normally do this anyway if the booking is quite short. Please note that are backyard is fairly small, however we are quite active so are happy to take your pets out on long walks each day.
