2023 saw our family farewell our best mate, a 16 year old, Great Dane Cross, Charlie (2008-2023). Until Charlie I grew up with working farm dogs (born St George, QLD) owned by my family and never directly "my" own dog/s. The relationship you develop with your "own" dog is 100% unique and I definitely miss him everyday. In 2011 Charlie gained a brother and I rescued my second dog, Dexter a Bull Masstif x Arab who is now 13 years old.
I am very familiar and comfortable being around all breed and sizes of dogs. My mother's parents owned smaller breeds in particular teacup chihuahua's and terrier breeds. My father's parents owned kelpies, border collies, cattle dogs, texas heelers and quiet often mixed breeds often rescue dogs that were brought to Pop for a second-chance of life. The compassion my Pop had for dogs has definitely carried through in our family, through me and our daughter. You will often her her say that "Dexter will make you feel better". My father also breeds dashounds. So you name it l’ve pretty much had exposure to most breeds.
I am a full-time stay at home Mum with our two children. My husbands work is structured on a family lifestyle roster which does not follow the usual Monday to Friday lifestyle which enables us a lot of flexibility having him home half of the month also.
Our property size is 608m2 fully fenced and is securely gated both in the backyard and front yard. The yard can also be sectioned of from the front yard and back yard.
I am a 34 year old, active, adventurous individual. I love being out and about and finding the next best hiking trail or camp site. I was born out west at St George, Qld and never invisioned myself living in the city however here we are. My husband Elliott, 36 is a mechanical fitter and works a set rotational roster as a mechanical fitter hence the move to the city. The company he works for needed guys in his role here in Brisbane, so after 8 years together living out West, Brisbane we are. He is also active with our animal visitors and enjoys the variety of animals we have in.
We both see now more than ever lots of fur friends not always having the "time" required for them from their human families due to the nature of the hustle and bustle of city life.
Hence why I would like to give my time to nurturing and loving your fur babies like my own. They need that free time that we don't always have and I would love to give my time to them.
Looking forward to meeting and chatting with you about how we can best support you and your furbabies. ...
