About Grace
I've been a pet lover since I was young and have experience dealing with different types of animals.
I am currently working an office job with a couple of days remote at home. I've just come back from travels and won't be looking to go anywhere for the next while.
I live with my husband, who also works from home two days a week, and we live in a house with a fully fenced backyard accessible by a small dog/cat flap. My place is located near a dog park and is very quiet, so regardless of whether your dog is an old soul or has constant zoomies, I can cater to all personalities!
I am currently studying dog behaviour and training and grooming and am expected to finish my certifications in mid-2024. If your dog requires a hygiene cut or a quick trim, I have the tools to do so safely.
If you have a puppy, I am currently preparing for my own Japanese Spitz puppy training, I can guarantee you that I'll be able to help with any obedience training.
I'm also quite persistent and patient, and will be happy to share any training tips for fellow dog owners.
I love all animals and grew up with dogs, cats, horses, birds, sheep and other farm animals nearby.
I am very cautious about knowing animals; even if they are well trained, certain circumstances can change the environment quickly. Therefore, I am always prepared.
I'll try to ask additional questions like the below for a meet and greet:
- What is your pet's personality?
- How well does your pet get along with other animals?
- Do you know of any triggers, fear or trauma?
- Does your pet prefer short walks or long walks?
- What is your confidence with your pet's potty training?
- Are there any behaviours that your pet shows to display discomfort?
- Are there any behaviours that your pet that is unusual compared to the usual pet behaviour? (E.g.: Likes to lie on it's back with all 4 paws up in the air during sleep OR pushes objects with nose instead of holding in mouth)
All of these questions will help in me being to identify the safety and comfort level for your pet.
If your pet requires isolation, there are sections with in my property indoors and outdoors that can cater to peace and quiet.
In my spare time outside of work, I usually do aerial arts and spend time with family and friends.
