hey there! i'm sowmiya, miya for short - i'm a final year veterinary student at the university of melbourne, and i work part-time at a 24 hour veterinary emergency hospital.

let's face it, vet school is very expensive (cries in broke) and i'm working part-time to wrangle the hefty university fees and save up for my placements. amidst the chaos, i've found my joy in caring for animals, and what better way to channel that love than by doting on your adorable furry kids through pet-sitting?

my experiences in the emergency hospital and school have taught me resilience, quick thinking, and the importance of tender care during critical moments. as a future veterinarian, i'm on a mission not just to patch up our pets, but to ensure they thrive and feel loved every step of the way!

beyond the scrubs and stethoscopes, i'm an avid believer in creating a home away from home for your pets. from administering medications to cuddle sessions and playtime, i'm here to provide the love and attention your furry family members deserve. i create detailed care sheets for each of my furry pals and i send regular updates so that you know your fur baby is in the best hands.

among the serious tasks, i make sure there's space for belly rubs, ear scratches, and a good game of fetch - and let's not forget pup cups! to me, the sound of a purr or the sight of a happy tail wag is the ultimate measure of a job well done. feel free to reach out with any questions you might have - i can't wait to meet your fur babies! :)...

Sowmiya looked after my fur children overnight and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Both happy, fed and loved on our return. Her attention to detail from the very brief run down of how the animal’s schedule generally worked was flawless, and we were kept updated on a regular basis about how they were going. Worth every penny for the peace of mind! Also very respectful of our home, wouldn’t have even known she was here! :)…
