Hi Everyone,

Myself and Leo are two professional (social worker & teacher), responsible and caring people who love animals and want to share the love to your fur babies 🥰

Experience:

We have been pet sitting for about 4 years now, mostly offering overnight pet sitting at our home and providing day-care, but we have also done lengthy pet sits at the pets home, with our most recent being a 3 months sit in Newcastle.

We have only been on MadPaws for about the last year, prior to that been recommended through word of mouth or used Facebook pet sitting pages.

Why we do this:

A few reasons, but mostly because WE ARE DOG PEOPLE, we LOVE dogs and we LOVE that River gets a friend to play with.

We um’d and ar’d about getting a second dog for a while there, but settled on the next best thing..MadPaws! Getting a little extra cash is also a bonus, it help’s us out, and ensure our babies (Riv and Harry) get what they deserve!

What to expect:

During your pets stay they will also receive daily walks and/or runs and if you were open to it, we would take your pet to various open and enclosed spaces such as the beach/oval/dog park.

We will stick to whatever fitness regime and setting you would like to keep in place for your pet during their stay.

We do our best to make sure that your pet has the best experience whilst away from you and treat them the same way we would want our dog to be treated if he was in a sit.

You can expect daily updates and check ins, whilst your pet can expect daily exercise, cuddles and attention.

About our place and home 🏡

We live in a townhouse so we don’t have a abundance of lawn, therefore a pet sit arrangement may be more suited to a smaller dog, but in saying that, we can be very flexible and open to other pets of other sizes and have been in the past.

Whilst we don’t have a large yard, we make up for it with daily exercise and a friendly companion, our dog River 🐶

River is our adored two year old Kelpie, therefore we know well the demands, stimulation, love and attention that is required for all dogs. River is the love of our life and we will share that same love and attention to your pet.

River is very submissive, friendly, playful and gets along with every guest dog who has come to stay with him. He treats his guests well and is often sad to see them go.

The other love of our life, who is also worthy of a mention, is our baby (actual human) boy Harry 💕🤱

We have done many dog sits since Harry came into our life. We do dog sitting because we are can do it, we manage the expectations of parenthood with the expectations of looking after pets. We wouldn’t do this, if we couldn’t.

We consider ourselves quite ‘laidback’, River still sleeps in our bed and loves giving little kisses to his baby brother, Harry. We also live with my Mum, she loves helping us out with the babies; human or otherwise 🙃
