Hi!
I wanted to pet sit mostly because I absolutely love animals! I've never found an animal that I didn't like and I love learning all their individual traits and personalities.
I'm also getting married soon! So I am trying to build up a little bit of extra income to make everything seem not so scary and expensive.
I work in the office during the day and my partner Paris is a nurse at the red cross so we are out of the house for work. He usually has Monday-Wednesday off and I have the weekends so the only time they would be alone in the house for a longer stretch is Thursday & Friday. Generally Paris starts in the afternoon and does dogwalking in the morning and loving the dogs up before I get home in the evening.
Generally we like to board pets for only one client at a time depending on pets temprement and what not. We like to walk any dog that stays with us for at least an hour per day mixing up routes so that the dogs can get the most amount of sniffing information possible.
We're in a double-story townhouse with an 8x5 (roughly) meter courtyard and another shared park area right outside our door. The property is secluded from the main road behind gates that are kept closed. The back courtyard area has high fences meaning that even the most creative absconders won't be able to get loose.
In terms of sleeping arrangements for the dog we have with us some comfortable dog beds with a good amount of room in the downstairs living room, the house is made from brick so stays nice and warm when heated meaning no late night chills. We do permit dogs to sleep with us in our bed if that is normal for them, however we won't allow it for dogs where that is not part of the routine as we don't want to return your ball of fluff learning bad habits.
We recently had a dog living with us but he has passed now. My partner and I have no children and no other pets. We also lives with my brother Robert. Our beautiful 19 year old boy passed away a few months ago and it was hard on both of us but it means we have a lot of love and affection for any visiting pets. We administered medication to him so we're capable of doing so if need be.
We have experience looking after senior dogs and young puppies for family members and we absolutely love it!
If you would like to reach out, please just message me and I'll try to get back to you asap! I'm so excited to meet you and your lovely furry family member.
