About Marion

Caring for animals has been a life-long passion. I have a Certificate II in Animal Care and 24yrs of employment caring for a variety of animals, including guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, possums, rats and mice, birds, frogs, axolotls and fish. I also volunteered at the RSPCA for 20yrs looking after shelter dogs and have adopted several dogs of my own to care for at home. At home, I currently care for guinea pigs, lizards and tropical fish, and grew up with several dogs, cats, fish, turtles, goats, and chickens and other birds. I am very trustworthy and reliable (with current National Police Check), and believe all creatures should be treated with kindness and respect, so you can rest assured I will look after your pets with the utmost care and attention that they and you deserve.

AVAILABILITY & LOCATIONS
Happy to visit your home, if located nearby (unable to look after animals in my own home). Suburbs visited include Hawthorndene, Blackwood, Belair and surrounding suburbs. Availability varies, but I am generally available for animal care one day a week on most days except Fridays.

SMALL PETS – GUINEA PIGS, RABBITS, REPTILES, BIRDS, FROGS, FISH, ETC
I can prepare food and water, feed, clean enclosures/aquariums/vivariums etc, and groom and trim fur (owners’ equipment will need to be supplied for cleaning and grooming etc).

DOGS & CATS
I can prepare food and water, feed, clean bowls, groom (not clipping) and bathe your dog (owners’ equipment needs to be supplied and your own warm water for bathing). I can entertain your dog or cat by playing games or preparing enrichment activities (eg boxes, puzzle feeders etc). I can exercise your dog physically through play or walking. Would prefer to walk dogs using their own well-fitting harness, as dogs may escape from a collar (Note: Due to a foot injury, walking dogs is dependent on the strength of the dog and I prefer to limit walks to approx 30 mins)....
