Hello and welcome! I’m new to MadPaws, but my love for dogs is far from new.
I have 30 years’ experience owning and caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. I’m also a former RSPCA dog shelter volunteer, where I walked and socialized various breeds and temperaments. My attendance at professional puppy training sessions with several of my dogs rounds out my expertise in canine care.
My family dogs have been my constant companions - from Weimaraners to Retrievers, Cattle Dogs to German Shepherds, Beagles to Border Collies, and most recently, two “Escape Artists” (aka Jack Russells).
When we connect, my goal is to understand your dog, its activities and your personal philosophy. I’ll happily adopt your approach* and your dog’s routines to optimise its security and comfort.

1️⃣ Where will you walk my dog?
With so many options in Bayside, I mix it up between on-lead parks, off-lead fenced dog parks, street walks, beach walks and dog beach romps. I can also visit “your usual” if it’s nearby.

2️⃣ Will you walk my dog off-lead?
It depends on your dog’s recall ability. We’ll decide together.
3️⃣ How often will you walk my dog?
Once a day when dog hosting or sitting. Extra walks can be accommodated.
4️⃣ Do you have children? If so, how are they with dogs?
Yes. I have two children, 12 and 14 years old, who live with me 50% of the time. Growing up with two dogs has made them experienced, calm, and kind companions.
If your dog is not comfortable around children, ask me for my home-alone dates.
I will be the primary carer for your dog.
5️⃣ Do you have any pets?
Not at the moment. Both of my dogs recently made their journey across the Rainbow Bridge. So there’s now a cozy corner, open heart and warm welcome waiting for your dog.
6️⃣ How many pets will you look after?
Hosting, day care and walks: Two small, medium or large-sized dogs. One giant-sized dog.
Sitting and house visits: Up to five pets, including puppies.
7️⃣ Do you host other dogs at the same time?
No. Your doggy will have my full attention and exclusive access to my home.
8️⃣ Does it matter if my dog is not toilet trained?
Yes. I can only accommodate dogs who are toilet trained.
9️⃣ Will you cater to my dog’s unique needs?
Of course! Medications, special diets, routines, quirks - just let me know.
