About Peta

Hello, my name is Peta Taylor. I have been a professional pet sitter for over ten years, servicing the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle Areas. I became a pet sitter back in 2012, looking for a way to combine what I love and earn some money. I am an avid animal lover and animal mum to six cats, birds, two rabbits, and a dog, many of which are geriatric and with health conditions. I have often struggled with the idea of leaving my pets in the care of someone else, at times preventing me from feeling comfortable enough to go away. I know only too well the stress and worries that can come from leaving our pet family members and I have always placed this at the forefront of what I do.

My own experience looking after older animals has allowed me to develop a vast array of knowledge that serves me well. For example, my own experience caring for my diabetic cat, Max, allowed me to care for someone else's beloved diabetic cat over a number of years. My service meant that they could go away on holidays assured he was in safe hands and with someone who knew the responsibilities and requirements of a special needs cat.
