I adore animals, and my family has 3 cats and a medium sized dog. Until I moved to Wollongong for uni, I was the primary carer for them all.
I have extensive experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs fish and rats. Some experience with small birds, poultry animals, bearded dragons, crabs, phasmids.
Before MadPaws, I have looked after my own animals, as well as pets of relatives and family friends for extended periods of time.
I have completed a First-Aid for Pets course through TAFE, giving me knowledge on cat and dog CPR, appropriate splint and bandaging techniques, proper restraining techniques and administering a range of medications to pets.
I have partially completed Cert II Animal Studies thorough TAFE (started in 2022), which has given me knowledge on various animals' dietary needs, enclosure maintenance, how to avoid agitating animals and the general DOs and DON'Ts when providing care.
I currently study at UOW in Wollongong, with a very flexible study schedule, in my first year of a Bachelor of Science: Ecology and Conservation Biology. Currently living on campus in student accomodation, which does not allow pets. Sadly, this means no pet hosting.
I absolutely adore all types of animals, with a soft spot for cats in particular. I'm responsible, and a gentle-natured person.
I'm happiest when with my cat, Catty (pardon the silly name!). Willing to do anything in my power to keep animals in my care happy and healthy.
I'm used to dedicating hours every day to caring for my family pets, so you can be assured I won't take shortcuts on your pets' care....
