About Miah

Hi my name is Miah,

Im am 18 years old and absolutely passionate about animals. I have my drivers licence and just finished my HSC and am studying to become a Vetinerary Nurse.

Since as long as I can remember my house has been full of animals that needed love and care. My Mother has volunteered for WIRES and what I learnt from her and the care with anything from, ducklings, parrots, kookaburras, magpies, possums (ringies and brushies – big and small!) etc, has been invaluable to me.

We also have our domestic animals, a white westie (Mojo) and two rescue cats (Nova and Cotton) as well, I have had much experience with loving and caring for all types of animals.

I completed work experience at Kirrawee Vetinerary Practice Sept 2033 which I absolutely loved. I have also worked in retail in a pet accessory shop called Paws and Palms in Westfields where I cared for baby rabbits as well until they closed down. My favourite job though was when I was 12 I had a dog walking little business and used to walk all the neighbours dogs on different days for a good couple of years. Sometimes my Mum and I would have 5 dogs in total and they all had a ball. As you can see I absolutely love animals and would care for others as I do my own.

We live in Lilli Pilli, close to a walking track and soccer field which the dogs absolutely love. I have a big enclosed deck and a grassed area at the front of my house in a quiet cult-a-sac street. I am currently looking for work whilst studying online....
