Hello, I am Jinny (HyoJin Yang) from South Korea. Previously, I studied veterinary medicine in South Korea and worked as a curator at Seoul Zoo before moving to Australia. I have a great love for all animals, including dogs, cats, and wildlife.
I have previously volunteered with the RSPCA as a dog walker and farm animal caretaker, as well as at their wildlife animal hospital and various wildlife rescue centres globally.
I am also available for cat-sitting. I have a cat named Louie, who was adopted from the RSPCA. Additionally, I offer 30-minute dog walking services for busy owners. My house-sitting services include spending approximately 30 minutes with your pet, and engaging them in activities such as playing or walking. Additionally, I can also provide training upon request.
I learned Positive Reinforcement training from the Karen Pryor Academy in the US and Delta Society in Australia. Furthermore, I am certified by the Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
As a caretaker for animals, I do not rely on aversive methods. It means I do not use choke chains, prong collars, or electric shock collars. Instead, I employ Positive Reinforcement training, a reward-based method that provides an enjoyable experience for the dog. I typically offer treats, toys, or compliments when the dog does what I want.
Lastly, I have an ethical concern regarding the use of flexi cord leashes as they could potentially drag the owner. Therefore, I do not recommend their use.
I am eager to meet you and your lovely animals!...
