We are a family of four (Mum, Dad, Girls aged 11 and 9).

We would love to share our home and life with a dog of our own, however we don’t feel that we could make the proper commitment to have a dog full time.

But we can definitely commit short term to welcoming and caring for a good natured dog or dogs if you, the owner needs a little help. We looked after a friends dog for a few weeks recently and we knew this would be a great fit for us.

If your dog comes for a visit with us he/she will become part of our family straight away and made to feel at home. Lots of attention and play time is guaranteed. As are long walks on the beach. Mum works part time so your dog/dogs wouldn’t be alone for very long at all during any given day. All feeding/treats/grooming/medical requirements would be strictly adhered to in accordance with your instructions.

Our home is well maintained and we have a medium sized yard. Any dog who comes to stay with us would be living indoors with us and exercised/walked in the local area and at local beaches. We would not allow your dog off lead (in permitted areas) unless it was specifically allowed by you. We would like your dog to be house trained of course but in the case of puppies we are happy to relax our standards and also to carry on any house training regime you have in place. We will be very patient with them of course!! :-)

Our preference would be for small or medium sized dogs who are used to living indoors with their family but we are more than happy to meet all dogs and judge our compatibility on a case by case basis. We will take two dogs from the same family at the same time but if your solo dog comes to stay with us we will not double book and have a strange dog stay at the same time that may make your dog uncomfortable. We are doing this to make canine friends, not to make money and we want your dog to feel happy, safe and comfortable when they come to stay with us. We hope that we could develop ongoing repeat arrangements.

We dont accept ‘day care’ bookings for single day (morning to afternoon) stays but we will definitely consider single night stays. For our children’s safety and your dogs comfort we will usually insist on a meet and greet so we can see how your dog likes our place and how they interact with our kids. ...
