About Ash
I love dogs, I had one for 14 years, unfortunately he passed a couple years ago and I haven't been able to get another one since.

I am Ash, I live alone in Maidstone, I have a full car/bike licence, my area is safe, secure and I live just across the road from a park and two ovals, my old dog would always be treated like a human, he'd eat and sleep inside, he'd have his own seat on the couch and of course he'd be walked regularly and with access to the backyard.
I do Mad Paws to support my 5-year-old daughter, she is currently overseas – during COVID, my partners house was destroyed due to floods in Asia, so every booking I get through Mad Paws will be on step closer for me to rebuild my partners house so my daughter can finally have her own room.

What's important to me is the dog’s happiness, their health and keeping them safe... it disturbs me when seeing a dog that looks sad, so with my old dog, I use to play with him and get him motivated and spend that little extra time with him so he'd feel loved and not let down, cared for and not wondering if/when/who because all dogs need that reassurance.

My work hours are flexible, dogs have access to inside and outside freely, day and night, I allow inside/outside access 24/7 when I have a dog here.

I will ensure your dog has a safe space to relax, sleep, eat and run around... so far, every dog I have looked after is trusted inside the house, even when I have to leave, I have a camera system monitoring the property so I can review what's happening, I also have a Google Home display so I can see them inside too.

If you're interested in me looking after your dog, I don't expect to be judged because I am a male, I expect to be judged based on integrity and experience and please; No Karens, especially the ones that give 3-star ratings because they expect me to read their minds and send them an update every two hours. I am no mind reader, I am human… but I do promise that your dog will be safe, comfortable and well looked after.
I often give dogs a bath when it’s a longer booking and I clean my floors with a Bissell Hydrastream to keep my wood floors clean and sanitised, this ensures that animals are not subject to the hidden germs that the naked eye can’t see, along with an air purifier to catch all the dust and air pollutants but I’ll let you be the judge.

In the past:
- Once I looked after 4 dogs at the same time, it was amazing how each of the dogs got along but I can divide them if required;
- One day, my dog was sitting on the couch, my brother was staying over that night, I got a pillow for my dog and my brother thought I was crazy for putting a pillow under my dog’s head, although he was already on the couch, I always ensured he was comfortable - I believe every dog deserves the perfect comfort. :)
- In 2008, I saved my brothers dog, he was dragged under the fence by two larger dogs, I immediately jumped the fence to rescue the small dog, because fear doesn't matter when a small dog is being attacked, especially when they were two guard dogs, my brothers dog had a puncture in the throat as a result but luckily, he lived on for a few more years - I feel God was with me that day.

Never show a dangerous dog your fear.

All dogs, big & small, cute, scary, the ugly and the weird - all deserve to be loved, to be homed, cared for and of course, treated like humans, because they become part of your life and they are a member of your family.

I'd love to look after your dog and discuss any arrangements you may have/request, including medicines, animal behaviour/s etc.

While i appreciate having her looked after, disappointed when informed of her food being changed. I wasnt informed till on pickup of a different dry&wet food being given that we dont give her after she ran out. her frozen raw blocks were forgotten&had to be tossed. Kongs werent used that aid her in mental stimution&anxiety. On drop off you were asleep which we let go. On pick up we had to wait.

Ash took great care of Whiskey for the day while we explored Melbourne. We were lucky enough to run into ash again this morning with Whiskey and she was SO excited to see him. Communication was excellent and super prompt. Would recommend. He also lives very close to the Discovery Park caravan park for travelers like us looking for a convenient and reliable sitter!
