I want to be a Mad Paws Pet Sitter because I love looking after dogs and just enjoy being in their company.
I currently have no pets at home, but used to have lots when I was living overseas. I have lived with pets (mostly dogs) since I was born since my family are all pet lovers. I can probably say that my experience as a dog sitter would have started way back in 2014 when I had a pet Mini Schnauzer.
I believe my Pet Sitting would stand out from the rest because I would like to follow a pet's routine at their own home and apply it to when they stay with me. I would like to know what time they're usually up and likes to go out for walks, the way their owners prepare their food, certain words/commands they are familiar with, how they go about their toileting, and the way their owners reward them if they've been good. I want them to feel that they are still "at home" just while their owners are away. I live in the wonderful suburb of Malvern where there are many parks to go around (Milton Gray Reserve Off Leash Area, Malvern Public Gardens, Caulfield Park.) My workplace is only a 5-minute walk away so I can easily go home an attend to pets but I usually would do pet sitting on my days off anyways.
I am usually free for pet sitting on most weekends, where I spend most of my time at home all day. And an occasional one weekday off where I can do some dog walking or maybe even house visits depends on the area.
About my space:
I live at the ground floor of a low rise apartment with a huge balcony. Security is quite good as you would have to pass thru 2 set of doors before entering the units. My place is a cozy studio unit so I can only host small to medium sized dogs.
