About Blaiire
I am mature (mid 30s’s), reliable and passionate about animals!
I genuinely love spending time with dogs and cats and sharing in their joy of life.
Services I offer:
- Dog walking
- Pet taxi in my car
- Pet companionship or training at your house (scent/puzzle games, company, cuddles or other stimulatory activities etc)
- Pet Sitting at your house
Dogs:
I am extremely interested in dog behaviour and development, and committed to maintaining your routines and training if wanted. I believe in positive reinforcement and have some basic understanding of dog body language and communication cues.
I have experience with:
- Dogs of all sizes, from Bichon’s to Wolfhounds
- Anxious and reactive dogs including dogs exhibiting fear aggression
- Working dog breeds, in particular kelpies and border collies
- Puppy training, lead training and clicker training
I prefer to do a meet and greet with owner and dog/s prior to committing to services and am happy to spend more time and visits developing trust with dogs who need it.
I can work with you to establish your dogs needs and provide confident and reliable one-on-one services.
~~ The walk time listed in the rates is a minimum, I will often spend more time with the dogs if appropriate.
Cats:
I love cats of all personalities!
Floofy lap cats that want constant cuddles, and dark mysterious brooding cats that I can develop an intellectual connection with. I’m very experienced in living with, and caring for indoor, outdoor and timid cats.
For pet sitting, I am a university student and most of my study can be done from home with wifi access, allowing me to spend lots of time with your loved ones!
Exotics:
I am an experienced mouse and rat owner and absolutely adore rodent pets!!!
I have experience handling ferrets, axolotls, and reptiles including snakes, lizards turtles.
I am familiar with bird care, in particular parrots (specifically cockatoos, lorikeets and budgies) and caring for birds with beak and feather disease along with the biohazard precautions necessary.
I am also familiar with maintaining tropical aquariums and caring for a variety of fish species.
