Hi Iβm Jay, a Mental Health Social Worker and massive animal lover ππΆπ±π¦ππΉ
I grew up with a range of small pets, including rabbits and chickens. I'm experienced in pet-sitting and take great joy in the companionship of all animals. Rest assured, I'll love upon your pets as if they were my own π
I've worked in the Community Mental Health sector for twelve years, offering support to clients with physical health and mental health conditions. In connecting my love of animals with my career, I'm looking to extend my clinical skills to include animal psychology so I can offer wellbeing programs to families with pets.
I'm also a long distance runner with energy to take your dog for long walks or play time in the park, if that's something they'd enjoy! I appreciate each pet has their own personality and needs, some requiring extra care and compassion.
I've cared for rescue animals experiencing separation anxiety, are reactive, donβt socialise well with animals or people or who have quirky behaviours to be mindful of π
Some of the pets Iβve pet-sat for:
Adult cats & kittens
Adult dogs & puppies, of breeds including;
Golden Retriever
Labrador
Greyhound
Jack Russell x Border Collie
Corgi
Cocker Spaniel
Bichon Frise
Cavoodle (Cavalier x Poodle)
Moodle (Maltese x Poodle)
Chihuahua
As my rental apartment is not best suited for hosting pet stays, I can visit your home to offer: house visits (dropping by to feed and play with your pets, attending to household bins, bringing in the mail etc.), dog walking and providing care for your pets during the day or overnight. To give you peace of mind your pets are safe and happy, I'll keep in regular contact and send photo/video updates across my stay.
As I mainly move around on foot and by public transport, I'd ideally like to provide services within a 5km radius of my location. However if you live a bit further out, happy to chat. I'll be as flexible as possible to suit your pet support needs π
I look forward to meeting you and spending time with your furry or feathery buddies! ππ±π¦ππΉ...
