About Luann

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology and am now completing my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree! I absolutely love all types of animals and have a lot of experience working with dogs and cats especially, yet I am also comfortable with pocket pets (i.e. hamsters, guinea pigs) and birds!

I have worked in various veterinary clinics and an emergency animal hospital as a veterinary assistant for over 3 years. I was also a manager at a general practice veterinary clinic in Canada (where I am from :) Now in Australia, I am working part-time as a receptionist at an emergency clinic while completing my DVM.

In addition to my clinic experience, I have also trained dogs at novice and advanced level for an obedience/agility competition at the University of Guelph. I am also a very proud four-legged mama myself! I currently have 1 dog of my own, a 9-year-old male beagle, that I sadly had to leave back in Canada. I've also had a beautiful dachshund and hamster that have sadly crossed the rainbow bridge.

I am able to meet the needs of your pets, whether they are a really hyper and energetic puppy or an older dog that needs cuddles and medications (I am comfortable administer liquid, pill or injectable medication).
