About Mitch

Hi, I'm Mitch & I'm a 27 year old that loves adventures and is obsessed with dogs. Ever since I was born, I have always been surrounded by dogs, and right now is no exception. Prince, my Afghan Hound has been the love of my life for the last 2 years.

Over these 2 years, I’ve developed a stronger love for animals, and I’m currently working towards becoming a dog breeder, a veterinary nurse, and then further down the line a fully qualified veterinarian.

I’m taking the care and study of dogs very seriously, and have undergone a dog training course, read books, spoken with other vets, and I have even spent 8 weeks living with one of the top dog breeders in the world - where I helped her raise over 20 puppies in total, and take care of all of the 20+ adult dogs she has. I also had the responsibility of looking after all of her puppies/dogs whilst she was overseas judging at a dog show.

Although I am new to MadPaws, I’ve had the privilege to look after 6 different homes and over 50+ different dogs. (I have all the individual dog breeds I’ve worked with at the bottom of this description).

I would love to be able to meet more pets, play with them, cuddle them, take them for walks, feed them, sleep over with them, drive them to appointments, pick them up, or anything else you can think of! Leaving your beloved pets behind when you're away is tough - I've been there. With the updates I'll be sending you regularly through text, photo & video, you can keep tabs on your pets from afar and be confident they're being looked after with care and having a good time.

Rest assured, I will take the same care & precaution for your pets as I do for mine.

This job is perfect for me right now, because I love traveling, looking after animals, and meeting new people.

I’m currently traveling the East Coast of Australia, from Melbourne, NSW and Queensland. Either looking after a home/pets, staying with my friends or family, or staying in a campground.

I’ve spent the last 5 years as an online personal trainer/wellness coach, and I also do part time work with the NDIS for mental health. This allows me the freedom and flexibility to travel and look after your home/pets.

My other interests include reading, podcasts, strength training, triathlon, trail running, karate, and playing drums.

I know that it takes a lot of trust to have someone look after your home or your pets, so please feel free to message me any questions you might have.
