I'm Layla, an experienced, dedicated and caring Pet-Sitter & House-Sitter of 7 years.
I have been pet-sitting in the Gold Coast for 3 years, and have house-sat all over Perth, Sydney, SE Asia, and New Zealand over the last 7 years (with my partner).

◇☆ PET SIT EXPERIENCE

I have lots of experience with dog walking, socialising/basic training and taking care of many pets — mostly dogs & cats in particular.

These have included:
Puppies, dogs with anxiety, unsocialised dogs, dogs with bad recall, energetic/working dogs, rescue dogs, rescue or "wild" cats, kittens, young & very active dogs, elderly dogs with arthritis or severe illness, and also pedigree cats, and dogs, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, tropical fish, turtles and chooks & ducks.

I know it can be challenging to have a pet who is anxious or a rescue who has a troubled past and I have nothing but patience and compassion for these pets.

I can also administer basic medications, such as tablets, ear or eye drops, and allergy creams/pills.

Previously I have cared for dogs who are terminally ill and who have had surgery.
In the past, my partner and I have successfully handled medical situations involving a dog's claw splitting (requiring removal) and also a situation in which another dog had seizures.

All these situations were handled calmly and with experience and all pets were just fine.

I’m a huge animal lover and I work online/from home, so your pets will never feel lonely or neglected whilst you’re away/at work because I will always give them heaps of attention!

I’m happy to walk your dog, do home visits & check-ins, feed them and give them playtime/enrichment at your home or yard.

◇☆ PLEASE READ...

***Pet Hosting*** If they’re staying with us:

As our place is very small, I can only host small or medium dogs at my home for 2 x nights maximum.
(Medium dogs so long as they are happy for the company and low energy or older dogs).

I CANNOT HOST LARGE DOGS at all, as I don't have the space to accommodate them.
(If you have a large dog I'm happy to look after them at your place instead).

I do have a small yard that is fenced, but there's just not the space for dogs to run a lot, (except for exercise on the walks of course).

I have uploaded a photo of the yard.

I live with my partner and we have no other pets or kids.

I/we lead a quiet lifestyle, mostly exploring the local areas, walking, beach walks, cycling and hanging out with the pets we look after.

If your pets are with us for daycare or overnight, we always include pets in our daily activities (beach, walks, cafe visits) as much as we can.

We live in Miami close to both Pizzey Park (20 min walk) and Ernie Tebb Park (5 min walk) both of which have a fenced-in dog park area.
Also, we're not far from North Burleigh beach (by the surf club).
There is a small shopping village that has a Vet Collective centre, only 100m away from our apartment.

We don’t have a car but we both have e-Bikes and are more than equipped and willing to get the pet to the vet in an emergency.
(I have got Pet Ubers before in vet situations).
