Hello, and welcome to my profile.
I am not going to start with "I am an animal lover" because it is too cliché, and for me, words alone cannot express the love and joy that I get from pets and animals in general.
I have grown up with and had numerous pets in my life, as far back as I can remember. I have owned and loved fish, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, lizards, turtles, cats - and of course dogs - which without doubt are my favourite pet.
Over those years I have been a dog obedience instructor, and have also been involved successfully showing my dogs, tracking my dogs, and I have also taken part in many obedience trials and received champion status with my Large Munsterlanders.(German Gun Dogs)
My heart was broken five years ago (I swear it gets harder with each pet you lose) when I lost my beautiful Mastiff/Shepherd Cross, Buster, at the age of 13 yrs 9 months. I currently don’t have another dog, because although my mind says 'yes,'my heart still says 'no.' I do, however, still enjoy life with my ageing cat, and my many birds including a family of magpies that often pop in for a feed and to say hello.
I pride myself on being as environmentally friendly as I can to the extent that I use yoga mats to kill weeds rather than round up.
I believe in responsible dog ownership so to protect the resident animals and guests I will ask to see proof of vaccination (C5) desexing and flea and tick control before I will approve a booking.
I always hated leaving my beautiful animals to go away, and for the last two years of Buster’s life I would not go on any extended holiday, a weekend was too long to be away from him. I understand how you are feeling about leaving your beloved pet, and I would like to assure you that he/she will be in good, safe, loving and caring hands.
I will send regular phone snaps of your pet at rest or play as a way of reassuring you that all is fine, especially at the start of the booking so that you can relax when enjoying your holiday or time away.
I have experience with ageing pets and/or sick animals, and am confident in administering medications.
Your pet will sleep inside unless they are an outside dog. BUT it will be in the living room because my bed belongs to my cat and she won't share.

Kerry was great and very understanding of my last minute booking. I was pleased with how she looked after my naughty little chihuahua! And he was kept safe and warm during his stay which was my biggest concern. Highly recommend you consider leaving your pet with Kerry.
