There is nothing more satisfying than taking care of animals. I heart both dogs and cats. I've witnessed the tears from a dog when a dog has not been walked for a couple of weeks, together with the pure excitement (beyond tail wagging) when a dog sees a leash, and let alone sees you in general. And when a cat wants cuddles and playtime with their favourite toys. If I could start over, I would love to be a vet. I own my own IT business part-time by choice.
Taking dogs for long and stimulating walks is also the next best thing; especially when you are unable to own a pet of your own. It all makes sense, as my favourite TV shows are The Dog House, Bondi Vet, and dogs behaving very badly. Having had experience sitting both dogs and cats in the past (even a cat with three legs) means that you can trust me with your furry friend/s. While on walks, and when looking after your pet/s in their own home; I'll also look out for any anomalies with them. (Ticks, poo patterns, and if a pet is more vocal than usual to name.)
When it comes to pet sitting, I have had experience pet sitting for both cats and dogs at the owners home. Pets rule. They all need love and companionship, as well as some play time. The same is true for therapy dogs (as per the photo with the Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix.) Simply put, both dogs and cats (despite cats having a bit more of an independent streak than dogs) want our company.
Please note, before sending your enquiry through:
* I do not own a car, yet I have my gold drivers license, as well as a successful police check, and a valid WWCC. Your home needs to either be within walking distance from Milsons Point (e.g. Milsons Point, North Sydney, Neutral Bay to name) or close to public transport.
* I only service the Lower North Shore, and all of the Northern Beaches.
* I will not take on puppies/dogs under the age of one year. Kittens are fine.
* I will not take on traumatised and aggressive dogs (e.g. biting, growling, withdrawal/no interest), and giant dogs over 40kgs. Separation anxiety is fine, and I am ok if your dog and/or cat does not get along with other animals.
* If a family member/friend/neighbour might be willing to look after your pet/s while you are away; please consult with them before making a booking enquiry with me, so that you are not wasting your time, as well as mine.
Thank you for your understanding, and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
