Hello, my name is Aisling (pronounce Ashling). I was born here in Brisbane but grew up in London, and moved back here just over a year ago. I am a 24-year-old master's student who mainly works from home and is very flexible. Whilst my area of study has narrowed down to plant biology, when I was completing my undergraduate biology degree I took a particular interest in animal behavioral science and achieved my best grades in this subject. I have a love and fascination for all living beings and it is my highest goal in this life to take care of the wonderful creatures I am blessed to share this earth with.
My first family dog was a Bichon Frise named Rupert. As a child I would play with him endlessly, pretending he was a baby polar bear! After he passed away, we were lucky enough to receive the company of 2 Portuguese Water Dogs, Buddy and Boo, who are alive and well today. During my undergraduate degree, I would take care of my family's dogs for long stretches at my university home in Scotland. I also regularly looked after a lovely dog, named Soda, who lived a few doors down. I loved getting to know Soda and formed a deep bond with her.
Since moving to Brisbane, I have been taking care of my cousin's chocolate Labrador, Keith, whilst he goes on holiday (usually for a week). Keith is highly energetic and puppy-like, requiring constant supervision and attention. I love his high energy and taking him on long walks. I live in a Queenslander with my partner and a housemate. They are both musicians and are also frequently home. They have their own music rooms and it is still easy to have peace and calm. We also share the house with my housemate's cat, Klaus. Klaus is a lovely kitty who is dog friendly. He spends most of his time exploring outside and comes home to snooze in his favourite spots, so separation is easy if necessary for your pet's comfort, as there are enough rooms. We also have a good backyard and a large deck. My other passions include baking, cooking, yoga, meditation and reading. ...
