About Inge and Nick

We're animal lovers who grew up with dogs and have always loved caring for animals. We've used Mad Paws a few times ourselves in the past for sitting our own dogs and have found it a really great platform. Knowing what we look for in someone caring for our dogs, we wanted to offer that to others and assure owners that any pet staying with us will be well cared for. We know what it's like to sometimes be away from a beloved pet and the need to have peace of mind about their wellbeing.

Inge works from home as an artist and we both have a lot of flexibility to care for pets in our home and to provide dog walking or house visits. Our kids (who are 8, 13, 15) are mature, love animals themselves, and are used to being around our own pets and friends' and family's dogs. Between my husband and me we've had experience with dogs, cats and reptiles, and we've pet sat several times before for friends and relatives who've needed someone to care for pets while they've been away.

We have a back yard that is fully fenced and secure, and we're very happy to work with owners around whatever makes their pet most comfortable in staying with us. We love to walk our own dogs and there are good places to walk near us and the beach not too far away. We're happy to be guided by owners on what works well for their pets in terms of walking frequency and locations.
