About Chantalle & Rachel

We are a dog loving family who would love to welcome your fur baby into our home to be cared for whilst you are away. We know our fur babies are very much counted as members of our family, so we know how important it is that you can feel confident that your pet is cared for as if they were our own.

Our family is made of up of my husband and I and our teen daughter. We have had over 12 years of experience of caring for and enjoying our lovely Labrador Spinner who was with us until early 2023.

We have lots of experience minding other's animals - always receiving good feedback and observing that they settle in quickly, enjoying the attention and care they receive from us. With repeat visitors, they have a spring in their step and very waggy tails when they return to our home, happy to visit us again.

We have a secure fenced yard, and your pet can enjoy sunny and shady spots (undercover and with trees). Our yard also has the option for segregated spaces with secure gates. Dependent on your pet and its behaviours, they can also enjoy being inside with us - including sleeping arrangements. I only work during school term time, so my daughter and I are available during the holidays (including Christmas / New Year) to assist with whatever pet care needs you might need.

We also offer day care, visiting/checking in on your pet in your home and dog walking.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Meet and Greet - prior to confirming a booking. A chance for us to meet each other and make sure we understand how to best care for your pet (including a chance for you to share any special needs or likes that they might have to help them feel at home with us).

- Care/play - Lots of attention and care, allowing them to chill out or be involved in our family activity – dependent on their preference.

- Comfort - BYO bedding, toys, food and allowed treats so they feel at home and have familiar things – where suitable/possible, sleeping (and relaxing) can be indoors and near us/in our room so they aren’t feeling lonely at night-time. We have plenty of mats and bean bags for your pet to nap on too.

- Walks – around the neighbourhood or a Beach walk – at discounted rates – so your pet can enjoy new smells and burn off energy/stay healthy.

- Medication/Brushing – let us know of any particular needs.

- Postcards - photos can be taken and sent to you if that’s what you want! – so you can know they are enjoying their holiday with us while you are away.

- Animals - We will advise if there may be any other animals joining us during the dates you have booked.

2024 STANDARD RATES:

Pet Hosting – $53 - Per 24 hour period with a negotiable 1 – 2 hour leeway

Pet Day Care – $40 - Per 8 Hour period

Home Visit – $38* - Per 60 min Visit

Neighbourhood Walk (on leash) – $25* - Per 40 min Walk

Beach or Park Walk (on leash) – $35 - Per 40 min walk and car travel

Puppy premium (under 1 year) – add $10/day to dog sitting and day care, and $5 per day for visits and walks. ($20 for under 6 months)

2024 QLD SCHOOL HOLIDAY RATES & LONG-WEEKEND/CHRISTMAS/EASTER/NEW YEARS - WILL HAVE ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY SURCHARGES APPLIED. (APPROX 10%)

* For visits and walks - If you are located > 6Km return trip from my home, to assist with travel cost, there is a charge of $1 per km (first 6km free) per visit/walk. Travel to beach is exempt from this, and included in price.)

** DISCOUNTS:

Dog Hosting & Day Care Customers will receive discounted Walks.

Health Care Card holders - If you have a current health care card you may receive a discount (card needs to be brought to meet and greet).

Return customers and bulk/repeat or long-term bookings may receive a discount.
