I have owned dachshunds for 30 years, and absolutely love them. I am experienced with dachshund puppies, right through to elderly dachshunds and those who have suffered with IVDD (both conservative treatment and surgery). Last year we lost our almost 15yr old dachshund who had both conservative treatment for IVDD in his younger years, and then surgery when he was almost 13. Our house is very dachshund friendly with ramps to the couch and also for the one small step to get outside. If you would prefer that your dachshund does not hop on the couch that is ok too, we are happy to follow your rules for keeping your dachshunds back safe.

I am also very happy to look after other small dogs, George loves all doggies. I just understand how hard it is for other dachshund owners to find someone who also understands the unique breed.

We have our 1yr old dachshund, George, but if your dachshund needs space away from George or other visiting fur friends (or our children), we have got fencing that we can erect to give that space. Your dachshund will sleep inside and feel like they are a part of our family. I have 2 daughters and they love playing with George, so I can guarantee that they will love playing with your baby too, however if your dachshund needs space away from the kids we can accommodate this aswell as we have a large yard and extra fencing.

Please note the following before making an enquiry:
- It is essential that your dachshund is up to date with their immunisations and worming for the safety and well-being of George (he is fully vaccinated and wormed regularly).

- If your baby is staying the night, it is essential that they are crate trained. We do not allow dogs to sleep in our beds, but they will still get all the love and cuddles like they would at home before bedtime. All visiting babies will sleep inside in their crates so they are not exposed to the elements (and toads)....
