About Mariela

Lifelong animal lover- I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, fish, hermit crabs, and hamsters. Since moving to Australia from the US I have been a volunteer or foster carer for the RSPCA, Best Friends Forever Illawarra, Greyhound Rescue, and WIRES. I have an animal first aid certificate and have previously worked for Mosman Paws, Symbio Wildlife Park, as well as a private dog trainer.

If you are interested in dog training please enquire so we can discuss your specific needs, but I have extensive experience with basic dog "skills", obedience training, and loose lead walking.

For dog walking I am experienced and comfortable walking any size dog, as well as strong dogs.

In my professional life I freelance as a musician and teach part time, so I enjoy a lot of flexibility. As a dog mom myself I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy looking after your babies when you're not able to take them with. I use MadPaws often for my own dog and have had a great experience every time. I currently have a 4 year old rescue English staffy who can accompany a walk or daycare if your dog would like a playmate.
