Hello prospective walkies and boardies,
I am a mother of five: three young adults of the human species, and two ”youngish” adults of the canine species. I mix-up their names constantly, boy’s with girl’s, girl’s with boy’s; sometimes I look at my poodles and can’t quite reconcile how I’ve given rise to such hairy creatures… I’m also still expecting them to verbally respond (human style) seeing as they’re so expressive in other ways! And just like how it was with my human children, I don’t understand when people ask how I’m not bored with caring for them!
In fact, my canine offsprings bring me SO much joy and stimulation, they are nothing short of therapeutic. Also--and more so than with my human kids who attended school from a young age where they received various form of education/stimulation--I feel it is my responsibility to look after their mental and physical well-being.
Accordingly, on my walks or stays with your dogs I will stimulate them with games such as twister puzzles and snuffle mats. I view mental stimulation, just as I do its physical counterpart, to be a dog’s best safeguard against bad health.
For my boardies: aside from walking and playing with them, I will serve a nutritious dinner consisting of poached, free-range chicken breast and low-fat beef mince, both of which are low fat. To the beef I sometimes add carrots and celery, depending on the fussiness of your canine...
Looking forward to meeting your dog!!
Leili
