I am an experienced veterinary nurse (5+ years) who has grown up with a variety of animals since I was a child, including dogs (8-45kg), cats, rabbits, rats, hamsters, birds, fish and horses in Cape Town, South Africa. I have also been a pet and house sitter for the last 8 years before moving in late 2023 to Australia.
I currently work on a roster rotation, approximately 3-4 days per week, if the sit falls on one of these days there will be a period your pet will be left alone at home for approx 8 hours (at a maximum) depending on shift times. I often work evenings and then my husband will take over care once he returns from work. I will discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding this. On non-rostered days, I am typically at home unless running errands.
My husband and I have a small, secure yard but have a lovely forested walk running close to our home creating a shaded 4km round route. We are also close to a lovely dog park if your pet is allowed to visit one. We do not currently have any pets in the home and would love to be able to bring the sound of paws into our home while looking after your fur-baby.
I am a huge advocate for animal welfare and am always focused on the best for any animal. I love to go hiking and explore outside but can also enjoy my time on the couch if your fur-baby prefers the more relaxed lifestyle.
I would love to meet you and your fur-baby sometime soon!
Please note: a day-care fee of $40 may be applied to your booking if you require more than 24 hours of care per night booked. Eg in the case of early drop off and/or late collection....
