Do you live in the Nimbin/Byron/Mullumbimby/etc area and are looking for a trustworthy and experienced pet/housesitter? Then look no further :-) I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!!
So who am I??
My name is Beth, I am 30 years old from Ventura, California and arrived to Melbourne Feb 2023 on a working holiday visa, ready to explore the land down under! One of the primary reasons I am here is to meet ALL the animals this land is so famous for.
My passions are all things creative - singing, dancing, art, crafting, etc, as well as exploring nature, eating & cooking, working with kids, community sustainable living, and traveling. I've lived in Sweden, Spain, Mexico, and now Australia makes my 5th country :-)
Living with pets is the best way to live, in my humble opinion. I grew up with a varied mix of pets, including 2 German Shepard/Black Lab mixes, a Staffordshire-poodle-Pomeranian mix (funniest dog ever), Guinea pigs, reptiles, a cat, fish, and continue to love living with animals. To qualify for a 2nd year working holiday visa, I completed my rural work requirement at an organic vegetable & egg farm, where some of my duties were feed the hundreds of chickens & collect their eggs, as well as feed the pup Buddy (pic in profile pic), the chicken guardian. When I was 13 I volunteered for the Canine Adoption Rescue League (CARL) in my hometown, where I got experience walking and handling dogs of ALL breeds, ages, and unique behavior traits.
Currently I am traveling up the east coast and looking to find some part time work or ideally a house sitting situation. My home has been my tent since the beginning of February as I began roadtripping up from Tasmania (with a month long stop at the Rainbow Gathering). For this reason, I would like to find a home to recharge, make some more fun token$, then continue my exploration of this beautiful land!

Beth exceeded all expectations as our pet and house sitter. Her care for our 2 pups, cat, and 4 chickens was truly remarkable, as well as tending to our indoor and outdoor plants while maintaining the cleanliness of our home.
Throughout her stay, Beth maintained open and thorough communication, providing detailed updates without prompting, which gave us peace of mind knowing that everyone under her care was thriving. Despite a few unexpected challenges, Beth handled them with professionalism and grace, demonstrating her dedication to her responsibilities.
Most notably, our anxious pup, who typically displays stress behaviors in our absence, seemed completely at ease with Beth, a testament to her calming presence and attentive care. Returning home after an extended absence to find our house immaculate was an unexpected delight, further showcasing Beth's meticulous attention to detail.
Without hesitation, I highly recommend Beth as a pet and house sitter. Her genuine love for animals, coupled with her reliability and competence, make her an invaluable asset to any pet owner in need of trustworthy care.
