About Eleni

Hi there!

I am a big animal lover who would love the opportunity to care for your pet! I adore all furry friends and have been fortunate enough to have had multiple family pets in my life. Tama, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Koda, an American Bulldog, and Tiger, my fierce feline. More recently my connections with animals have been with friends pets: Koa, a chocolate lab, Sydney, a rottweiler, and Smudge, a mini schnauzer. All very different dogs with unique personalities and needs. As a guardian for each of them, I have polished my skills in being very attentive, gentle, and clear in my communication. I also understand that when in public or new places with dogs, it is critical to be cautious and aware of the changing surroundings i.e. other dogs, people, hazards. As well as paying utmost attention to the dog in my care and how they are feeling or reacting.

While I haven't yet had a paid animal-care job, my life-time's worth of experience with family & friend pets has equipped me with knowledge and skill when caring for dogs of all kinds; large - small, calm - hyper, well-trained - mischievous, and everywhere in-between!

I live in a large house in Northcote with a large covered deck area that leads to a generous backyard. The property is fully fenced off and secure, the previous tenant had a dog living here - so it is perfect for dogs (or other furies)! The house is a 5 minute walk from Merri Creek and Phillips Reserve for walking & exercise.

I am currently working casual jobs and am therefore very flexible with time. I am home most of the time and can get around easily on public transport or by bike.

I understand how special our furry family members are and I am committed to caring for any pet as I would my own. It is important to me to have a 'meet and greet' with yourself and your pet before taking a formal booking. So please get in touch anytime to organise this if you are in need of my service.
