About Christy
Hello,
My name is Christy. I have been an animal lover my entire life. I'm originally from the U.S. state of Texas. I met my husband (who's originally from here) in Texas and BAM almost 10 years later I found myself moving to Australia! I’ve lived here now for almost 2 years. I grew up with mainly dogs (of ALL sizes) and cats so I have a ton of experience caring for them. I also have experience in caring for birds (inside chickens and parrots), Guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, lizards and snakes. If I haven't dealt with an animal though, chances are quite high that I am happy to learn!
My husband and I have two children, a 10 year old and an 8 month old. Our 10 year old adores animals as much as we do; he is quite respectful and understanding when it comes to any animals’ boundaries. Our 8 month old is heading that direction as well! She is very interested and entertained by our pets.
In addition to our human children, we have 3 furbabies. Our oldest is a chihuahua named Lola; she came from Texas with us. Next is our cat, Nandor the Relentless (reach out if you recognise where we got that name from!), and, lastly, we have our crazy pup, Bambi. She's a staghound, beautiful and incredibly goofy!
I am currently on maternity leave and my husband works from home so when your furbabies are with us chances are quite high that someone will always be home with them! We take Bambi out daily for a 30 minute walk so any pups we're hosting can come along if they'd like!
We do have a separate room, if you have a pet or pets that would rather keep to themselves.
I do also have experience giving oral/topical medications to dogs and cats.
