I believe all creatures are sentient beings, they should be respected and treated with love and kindness. My immediate family has always included a stray or a rescue - Misty the cat, Cat the cat, Horse the cat, Bully the amstaff, Bo the ambulldog and her 12 babies, Damian the amstaff, Hulk the greatdane/german shepard/ridgeback, Betty the human, Joanne the human, Shane the human, Mama Bear the magpie, Precious the cockatoo, Oi You the cackatoo, Roast the turkey, Tailgone the goldfish, Cooda the baracooda, Ondanod the murry cod and the most recent additions are Pud the cat, Meeka the goat and Squeej the goat. We live in a semi rural area with a large fenced in yard that also has plenty of under cover space. The house itself is large and older, but homely. It's been fitted with cctv security, has a wood fire and air conditioner in the lounge and a pet friendly couch and mat in front of it. There are some great horse riding and fire access tracks all within 1-2 min walk from my house with a leash free park at the end of one....
