About Rachel

I am a provisional psychologist and I am currently employed at an animal assisted therapy clinic. I have had dogs in the past and I am currently studying dog training to help with my work with therapy animals. I have previously worked with animals in a variety of settings. I worked as a farm hand for a children's interactive farm, caring for a diverse range of animals including dogs, cows, chickens, deer, camels, kangaroos, and even emus! I have also worked with Australian animals at a private Zoo; working with birds, reptiles and macropods. Lastly, I have had the pleasure of working at a cat boarding facility where I was responsible for caring for many cats and ensuring they had a happy and comfortable stay. I then come home and cuddle with my 15 year-old cat, Goose ad my beautiful Koolie dog Inala.
My experience with a variety of animals has eliminated any fear for "unusual" pets, and I understand the many different requirements for their wellbeing.
