About Rebecca

Hey I’m Becca. I am British born, living in Melbourne with my New Zealand partner. My career is in marketing and illustration. I currently work full time for a fashion brand (two days a week from home on a hybrid working arrangement), and am in the process of transitioning into freelancing marketing and illustration, whilst building my own business, Bex Create. My interests outside of this is singing, horse riding, hiking, yoga, pilates, the gym and travelling.

I have always loved and grown up with pets, caring for my own cats (short haired), hamsters, guinea pigs and fish over the last 20 years. The move to Australia has meant I no longer have my own pets but I regularly pet-sit dogs, and have been for the last three years - including the care of Spaniels, French Bulldogs, Chihuahua and Dachshunds. I have travelled the world working with horses, from Thoroughbreds to Arabian ponies, I have been a riding instructor in the UK and America, rode and cared for race horses in Australia, cared for and carriage drove in Brisbane and lead trail rides in Lamington National Park, Queensland, alongside caring for other animals on the farm including sheep, pigs, chickens and cows.

I live in a fairly quiet suburb of Melbourne, Preston, with access to Darebin Creek Forest Park, a quiet green area to walk dogs on the lead. The house is a good sized three story townhouse, with a garage and small balcony, plenty of room for a small-medium sized dog, cats, rabbits or guinea pigs.
