Hey pet lovers, great to meet you! I'm Elise and I'm an animal lover living in inner Sydney! My beloved Siamese cat of 16 years passed not long ago & while I'm not ready for another pet just yet I miss having animals around! I spent new years cuddling with a cute greyhound my friend is pet sitting and she recommended Mad Paws to me!
I work in hospitality & walk everywhere so being on my feet is a breeze & I'd love more excuses to go on long walks! I live in Redfern, close to two big parks including Prince Alfred Park which has a thriving dog community and lots of open space for pups to run and play. I live in a large double storey apartment in a secure & pet friendly building. I was a very protective cat mum & always vigilant about keeping my place secure so she couldn't get out & get hurt! I can easily get around the CBD and surrounding suburbs from my central location.
I work on a rotating & flexible roster that allows me the time to take on some sitting & walking duties.
I'm very affectionate with animals and love to cuddle & make them feel like one of the family. I enjoy teaching tricks using positive reward techniques to willing dogs & am effective at building trust & connection with shy types, especially cats. I know how to respect your baby's boundaries whilst always being kind and compassionate. Having cared for my cat for 16 years I'm accustomed to meal schedules, grooming, cleaning up waste & play time. I grew up with dogs & regularly care for my friends dogs, including giant breeds like Bull Mastiffs & toy breeds like chihuahuas. I have experience pet sitting for rabbits & used to keep mice - daily hutch cleaning is a necessity to keep the animals comfortable!
